Completed in 2008 in the heart of Kerns village center, this modern replacement building brings together five residential units beneath a clearly structured roof. The basement was constructed in solid reinforced concrete, providing a stable foundation. The upper floors feature a high-quality solid timber stacked-board construction, creating a natural indoor climate and ensuring long-term durability. Stone wool insulation and the rendered building envelope give the structure a calm and harmonious appearance. The energy concept combines an efficient ground-source heat pump with solar panels on the roof – a sustainable system that unites contemporary living comfort with ecological responsibility. Mitten im Dorfzentrum von Kerns entstand 2008 ein moderner Ersatzbau, der fünf Wohneinheiten unter einem klar strukturierten Dach vereint. Das Untergeschoss wurde in massiver Betonbauweise erstellt und bietet eine solide Grundlage. In den Obergeschossen sorgt eine hochwertige Massivholz-Brettstapelkonstruktion für ein natürliches Raumklima und eine langlebige Bauweise. Die Dämmung aus Steinwolle und die verputzte Gebäudehülle schaffen ein ruhiges, harmonisches Erscheinungsbild.
